How to Get Hired

I spent yesterday at The 2010 Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey Job Fair. What a fantastic experience! I provided FREE LinkedIn Profile Assessments to the job seekers in attendance. The line to our table snaked around the building at times! I even stayed past closing to give assessments to the remaining people.

This morning I read a wonderful article that I wanted to share. It’s all about how to get hired at the company of your dreams. Reading it, it reminded me of some of the advice I gave yesterday at the job fair. I told people to research their dream company on LinkedIn. Investigate and find out who already works there… and connect with them on LinkedIn. Find out what LinkedIn groups they belong to and join them. Find reasons to engage these people! Make friends! Tell them how much you want to work at their company! Get advice. And then get hired!
