Last year I participated in The Greater Philadelphia / NJ Job Fair and had a wonderful time conducting LinkedIn Profile Assessments for local job seekers. Pierre Eade, the coordinator for the event, reached out to me again and asked me to participate AND conduct a workshop for attendees. “Yes,” couldn’t have sprung out of my mouth any faster! We decided on the topic “Finding Jobs in the Internet-savvy Millennium.”

I presented to the NWCT: Network of Women in Computer Technology last night. My presentation was all about LinkedIn and the importance of a STRONG LinkedIn Profile. Clearly this is a topic that interests people because we had to run to different rooms to find more chairs to accommodate all the attendees. This morning I had a ton of LinkedIn invitations to connect waiting for me in my inbox! The messages were so touching… here’s one of my favorites:

My local Chamber of Commerce asked me to speak at their monthly meeting that they call their Percolator. This was quite an honor since the speakers they have are typically politicians, community leaders, business executives and the like! I spoke about the power of Social Media and how businesses can use it to stay in touch with their clients, find prospects and grow their business.
