Thank you, Seth for the lovely review! I appreciate it greatly! I had the privilege of reviewing Donna Serdula’s new book LinkedIn Makeover: Professional Secrets to a POWERFUL LinkedIn Profile. (Affiliate Link) It is a fantastic book that really breaks LinkedIn down into understandable and usable bites.
Most people use the default URL for their LinkedIn profile. It’s rather ugly and looks like this:
https://www.linkedin.com/pub/your-name/31/54a/b91
It certainly isn’t a URL that you can remember easily or market offline.
Don’t worry, there’s hope! LinkedIn allows you the ability to customize your LinkedIn profile address!
Here’s a short (less than 2 minute) video that shows you how to customize your LinkedIn profile address:
Last week I announced my book, LinkedIn Makeover: Professional Secrets to a POWERFUL LInkedIn Profile made it onto Amazon’s Kindle. This week, I am just as proud to announce LinkedIn Makeover: Professional Secrets to a POWERFUL LinkedIn Profile is now available on Barnes and Noble’s Nook!

During one of my LinkedIn-Makeover Plus sessions today, I had an interesting conversation. My client asked me to add “Dynamic and Energetic Leader” to the Summary section. I refused. And here’s the reason. It’s fine and dandy to put that into a resume, it’s practically expected… but your LinkedIn profile is NOT your resume! Your LinkedIn profile allows you to tell a story. So rather than saying, “I’m a dynamic and energetic leader” tell a story that conveys that sentiment. Talk about your guiding philosophy. Talk about your core management values. Tell a story about how you motivated a team out of the doldrums and into amazing sales! Let your reader come to the conclusion that you are a dynamic and energetic leader.
I am happy to announce the debut of my newest service, LinkedIn Makeover Plus! My goal when I set out on this path was to provide a low cost solution for job seekers and other professionals who needed help crafting compelling LinkedIn profiles. The response to my LinkedIn Makeover service was immense and I soon realized that there was a need for a more consultative approach.
Many of my clients had questions regarding their profiles and wanted direction as to the approach they should take with their LinkedIn profile. Other clients didn’t have a current resume OR they had such vast careers that a resume wasn’t enough to tell me their whole career story. The answer to these needs was a service that allowed for interaction and consultation. And so LinkedIn Makeover Plus was born!
Once you place your order for LinkedIn Makeover Plus, I respond with an email asking for your availability.
Woke up to find myself quoted in an article all about LinkedIn in The News Journal!
Last week I presented to The Community Matters Networking Group on how to craft an amazing LinkedIn profile. Aaron Nathans heard about the presentation and contacted me to learn more. On Friday we arranged a time to talk and on Monday (today) the article was in the paper!
I am really excited! Thank you, Aaron Nathans!!
