LinkedIn Headline GeneratorNow just because you could use 2,000 characters to describe your latest job position, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it! Okay, okay, it’s true that search engines like high word counts with lots of relevant keywords but don’t do it just to do it. Make sure you have something to say… something valuable! Here’s something to consider, the more you write, the more you potentially disqualify yourself! So as one of my favorite sayings goes: Be Brief, Be Bright, Be Gone!

I was looking all over for this! What do you recommend? What should I be aiming for in terms of word count for my summary?

  2. Hi Howard– I wouldn’t worry about aiming for a particular word count. Use your summary as your elevator pitch– sell yourself. Explain who you are and what separates you from others. This shouldn’t be too short but neither should it be overly long. Write from your heart and you will be fine!
