New! Adding Location to Your LinkedIn Profile Experience

This afternoon while I was optimizing the LinkedIn Profile of a Philadelphia-based Project Manager, I noticed a NEW FIELD in the Experience section of LinkedIn! LinkedIn NOW gives you the ability to add a location to your experience. When you start typing within this new Location field, LinkedIn provides you with cities and areas in a drop list for your choosing. As I typed Philadelphia into the field, Greater Philadelphia showed up in the drop list for me to pick.

This is a great addition since it gives even greater insight into your job experiences. It was serendipitous to have occurred today for the Project Manager I was working with because her experiences spanned a number of locations in the Northeast and it was great to be able to choose the exact geographic region for each of her experiences.
