LinkedIn added five new profile sections: publications, languages, skills, certifications, and patents. All you need to do is click on “Add Sections” on your “Edit Profile” page.
If you are an author, you can now list your publications! Tout the number of languages you speak! The certification section allows you to list the certifications, licensure, and clearances that you have earned, There’s even a section for your skill sets!
Now here’s the thing, along with the skills, you must name your proficiency level— Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert. It’s tempting to list “expert” for everything but you will want to mix it up some, choose Advanced and Intermediate for some skills. It lends credibility to your profile.
