Invites Welcome Review

Invites Welcome

Invites Welcome is a service that for a fee, allows you to add your name to a directory list that is freely distributed to people interested in growing their LinkedIn network. Getting your name on the list means invitations GALORE! Galore? The site says “over 25,000 free and paid Members have access to the List.”
I know what you are thinking, “But Donna, I don’t know those people on the list! I only add people I know and trust!” To you, Pollyanna, I say, “Read my blog post about the benefits of becoming a LinkedIn Open Networker and EXPAND YOUR MIND AND NETWORK!”

Benefits of Being on the Invites Welcome List

Why do you want your name on the list? Because you understand the power of having a large LinkedIn network and you want to passively grow your LinkedIn network. A strong LinkedIn network means better ranking in search results, more eyes on your updates, the ability to see more profiles, and the ability to message more LinkedIn users.

With your name on the list, people will download it free and invitations should start coming your way!

The cost to get your name on the list is:

  • $2.95/month
  • $19.95/year

Signing Up for Invites Welcome

Today I bit the bullet and paid the annual fee to get my name on the Invites Welcome list. Signing up was easy. I just gave them my information and I paid via Paypal. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. The one thing I did do differently is I used an alternate email that is also linked to my LinkedIn account. I did this because I figured it is too easy for people to use the list for nefarious purposes and I didn’t want to compromise my “primary” email.

Importing the Invites Welcome List into LinkedIn

I also decided to download the list and import it into LinkedIn. Here’s how I did it:

  1. I downloaded the list from the Invites Welcome
  2. I used the LinkedIn bulk upload tool to upload and import the list into LinkedIn.
  3. I sat back and waited for the individuals to accept my invitation.

It didn’t take long at all! Check it out:

What Do I Think?

I have to admit I was a bit surprised to find that the list only contained 270 emails. Ultimately the size of the list doesn’t matter too much as long as people are downloading and importing it into LinkedIn. It’s going to be difficult to gauge the effectiveness of being on the list. As a LinkedIn Open Networker, I already receive quite a number of invitations to connect a day. Regardless, $20 is a nominal amount to spend to grow your network even by a little bit. So far Invites Welcome seems totally worth the cost and I am recommending it.

This chapter is not yet closed. I will continue to post updates as to how well Invites Welcome is working for me. I also plan on signing up for a very similar service available at TopLinked.com and will post a review of that site shortly.

  1. Hi Donna,

Indeed, being on the Invites Welcome vastly and quickly increases one’s contacts list on LinkedIn. We have used to grow our contacts network into the thousands and it has been pretty seamless. No major nefarious activity or misuse. Here and there an off-the-wall solicitation but nothing to be concerned about.

Local Leads HQ recommends it as well.

  2. I like the concept, there’s no commitment to connect with anyone. I was curious and did the free signup but there’s definitely not 25k people on that list. Like you said, maybe a few hundred emails? Makes no sense. If they’re not distributing the whole list, what’s the point of paying?

PS: I’m open to invites, won’t flag anyone, connect with me on LinkedIn: pj@pjbrunet.com However, I will flag spam. Yes that’s my real email.
