LinkedIn has a new design! It just appeared for me this morning although LinkedIn has been rolling it out for the last few weeks.
Let’s take a look and see what’s different and what’s the same.
LinkedIn tells us that it’s a simpler design. Looking at the new black navigation bar and gray speckled background, I think it’s actually quite bold! LinkedIn has kept almost everything in the same place so this new design appears to really be just a skin. Some changes have been made. Scanning the front page for updates is easier and you can do it with far fewer clicks than before. Important updates are springing to the top so you can see the most relevant updates quickly. You can also easily filter your updates to see messages from certain people or groups of people.
All in all, I quite like this new look. My own prediction is that more changes are in store for LinkedIn. LinkedIn toyed with a new design to the LinkedIn profile a few months back. Perhaps we will see this new profile appear shortly as well.
