On August 9th, I took off for a 10-day vacation. I went with my mother, sister, and aunt. We visited Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Austria.
Although I had my Samsung Galaxy Tablet with me, wifi access was a bit wonky, so I found myself offline more than on.
LinkedIn-Makeover.com continued to run with Audra Ross and Dionne Carrick taking helm. One of these days I will post a blog article about my new associates. I’ve known both Audra and Dionne for years and feel so fortunate that they decided to join me in my mad passion for saving the world from weak, unimpressive LinkedIn profiles!
Here’s a picture of my mom, sister, aunt, and me on vacation. This picture was taken on the grounds of the Prague Castle.
At any rate, I got back home on Monday and was almost immediately confronted with huge changes to the LinkedIn profile page. The resulting blog post I wrote about LinkedIn’s profile page redesign was picked up by the LATimes and Chicago Tribune.
The article entitled, LinkedIn revamps profile pages with design change was followed by another article confirming the changes (LinkedIn confirms profile redesign, says more changes to come).
Yesterday I was interviewed by Kevin Casey for InformationWeek. Imagine my surprise when just a few hours after our interview ended, the article, LinkedIn Profile Changes: What You Should Know, was posted. The article details the new changes and what I think people need to do in order to fully leverage the new design.
I am grateful for the recent press and hope that this exposure will alert more people of the importance of their LinkedIn profile and that there is help available!
