Is it too late to wish you a Happy New Year? It’s hard to believe that January is already over and February is here. Time certainly does fly. In fact, we are heading toward the 5 year mark since I started this Website. Back then it was just me and my laptop, cranking out profiles until the wee hours of the morning. Things changed. Two years ago I brought on Dionne and Audra to help in writing LinkedIn Profiles. And last year even more people joined us: Dana, Tita, Wendi, Cathy, and Sylvia.
As proud as I am to have a full team of people here performing LinkedIn Makeovers, I am even prouder of some of the personal changes that took place in 2013 for me.
I got married and had a baby.
It’s true! Somehow this extremely business-focused, 38 (now 39) year-old gal, decided to join eHarmony… and after crafting the nicest profile on the whole site (natch!), I found the man of my dreams. Within months, we were engaged and expecting. On December 6th, I gave birth to a 10-pound baby boy. We named him James after my dad. Graciously, Dionne stepped up to the plate and took over the reins of LinkedIn Makeover so I could spend time with my son. Maternity leave was fun but it’s time for me to get back into the swing of things. If you call and I answer, please do excuse any baby cries you might hear. Jimmy’s a happy baby but he does cry from time to time.
So what are my resolutions for 2014? This year I plan on writing more articles, creating more helpful videos, and helping even more people craft a dynamic presence on LinkedIn.
