LinkedIn discontinued their hidden cheap “Personal Plus” plan and replaced it with a NEW discounted plan called Spotlight. Spotlight is also a hidden plan– it’s available but only when you follow a certain number of steps is it unveiled to you as an option. Watch this video to see how to unlock this discounted option!
UPDATE: Some users can access the Spotlight/Personal Plus plan, others cannot.
This link MAY take you to the Spotlight plan:

If you are unable to access the Spotlight plan, try contacting LinkedIn support. I have been told by clients that LinkedIn support can upgrade you to a higher plan and then downgrade you to Spotlight.

Thank you for the great tip Donna. I followed your directions (Home/Viewed) butI do not have the “Upgrade” link. I used Chrome, Chrome incognito mode, Internet Explorer, IE Private……no Spotlight plan available to me. Currently I have a FREE one month “Job Seeker Plus” monthly account with today (6/15) as the end date. My conclusion: The Spotlight plan is for existing paid accounts. I do not have the link since I am/was on a free one month trial. Great deal for those that have access (I love a good deal), but BUMMER for me.

Hi Donna,
Thank you for sharing this, I just signed up. Too bad Linkedin doesn’t have an affiliate program, you would get so many referrals. Just found your site yesterday and I am reading everything I can. Looking forward to learning more from you.
Mary
Donna, I am so bummed out because it seems that LinkedIn is not longer offering the Spotlight version. I’ve followed your guidance above but the UX has been redesigned and I can’t find any trap doors into the old version of registration.
The lowest premium offering appears to be the Job Seeker plan for $29.99/month with no annual discount option available.
Any additional suggestions for us?
Thanks!

Try this— contact LinkedIn Tech Support and ask to purchase the Spotlight Plan– it is available still to some users but not everyone. I had a client contact support and LinkedIn support was able to upgrade him to a higher plan and then downgrade him to Spotlight.
Donna, great news! I found a trap door for LinkedIn’s hidden $9.99/mo Personal Plus Account. You actually can still upgrade to that plan but you have to use the LinkedIn app instead. Same process (navigate via the Who’s Viewed Your Profile link and click the button to upgrade to premium). Just thought I’d share! Sounds like this may be the same as the former Spotlight Plan? Or are the feature sets different?
Hi Lisa! Fantastic sleuthing. I will update the directions on this page to mention this new back door access. In terms of feature sets, I have the Personal Plus plan and I’ve updated a number of people to Spotlight… they seem to be very similar.
Tried unsuccessfully through my PC the trick above with my phone but the only two options presented were “Talent Basic” ($59.99/mo) and “Recruiter Lite” ($119.95/mo). Maybe becaue about a year ago I had the full recuriter membership level (about $85/mo if paid annually, if I remember correctly.) Would like to go from my current basic (free) back to Personal Plus or Spotlight but can’t seem to get there.
Ed,
I would try one of two things–
1. Contact LinkedIn Tech Support and ask for the Spotlight plan.
2. Upgrade to one of those more expensive services and then downgrade to Spotlight… which is what a few people have told me has worked for them.
Thank you
Hello Donna,
Is it possible that by now they removed the option to do spotlight subscription ?
Because it’s no where to be found.
