It was an honor to speak at Intuit’s QuickBooks Connect conference in San Jose. The event was such a success and expertly organized and elegantly run. My presentation, “5 Tips to Crank Up Your Impact & Results on LinkedIn,” took place on November 15, 2017. I spoke to a standing room only crowd. I was later told that the room held 150 but more than 175 people attended.

While I was in San Jose, I was presented with a wonderful opportunity to see LinkedIn’s Sunnyvale campus. I had a wonderful lunch and a great tour of the campus. It was fascinating seeing the inner workings of this amazing company. Peeking in a conference room, there was a meeting taking place. My guide said, “Sorry, Donna but there are people working here, we have to go.” And just as we were about to shut the door, the most lovely harmony emerged from the room. I looked at my guide quizzically and she said, “Oh, that’s our acoustic group, InTune. They are practicing.”

Donna’s presentation at Intuit’s conference was fantastic! I arrived right at the minute it was to start and they had to have a meeting to let two more of us in – luckily, i was admitted. They had to seat me by the sound engineer, because it was indeed standing room only:)
I have been using LinkedIn since day one, once had 8,000 connections then after listening to Reid Hoffman at an event, realized i was using it wrong and deleted my account — started over. I’m only back to ~1,000 connections years later; but they are people i actually have a real-world relationship with.
